Yongzheng Six-Characters Mark
This vase is in ovoid form and is beautifully potted with swelling rounded sides rising from a gently splayed foot to a cylindrical neck, applied overall with a brilliant white glaze, the base similarly glazed and incised with a six-character seal mark.
This extremely elegant shape, which is specific to the Yongzheng period, was glazed and decorated in various ways at this time and was used for some of the finest painted designs;it is nevertheless exceedingly rare and no other monochrome white vase of this type appears to be recorded.
